Hi All!  Just found out yesterday my 2nd pregnancy is with TWINS!!!!! Wow!
I was so shocked I was unable to ask any intelligable questions of my OB.  Does anyone recall feeling earlier fetal movement with twins than the usual 16-20 weeks with a singleton? I am only 10 1/2 weeks and might be a bit crazy, but even before I knew I was having twins I thought I felt a small kick every now and then.  Makes sense that it would be felt earlier d/t 2 of them being in there.
Thanks!

Hi, welcome!

You know, most people/doctors say it's unlikely you would feel fetal movement before the 16th week (even with twins).  But, everyone is different, and if your instincts are telling you it's fetal movement, then I would go with it.   I also had twins as my second pregnancy, but I didn't feel them move until around 19 weeks or so.  I remember thinking it was odd that I didn't feel them sooner.

Congratulations!  Please keep us posted on your progress.  Are you going to find out what you're having?  How old is your first child?

P.S.
Don't forget to post your ultrasound photos on the Twin Ultrasound page.

I felt quickening movements around 12 weeks.  I felt actual kicking movement at 15 weeks.

I began feeling butterflies and swishes around week 14. I felt my first kick two weeks later! Your babies are soo small right now. He/she is a little more than an inch long at 10 weeks. Though it's highly unlikely that it's a kick, it could be! And if it is, maybe he/she's destined for soccer? :-)

I may totally turn out to be wrong on this.   But I'm 11 wks now and I keep thinking I'm feeling something.  Could just be gas bubbles, though!  I can't wait to know for sure when I'm feeling the babies.

Ok so I really thought I was losing it, but now I'm not so sure. I should be only 10 weeks but the last 2 days I jumped because it felt like a baby moving across my stomach! It felt like when I was 16 weeks with my son. I really don't know if it's possible, but I know for sure that it is not gas. I felt my son at about 13 weeks, but that was a flutter, this is just freaky. Maybe I'm further along then the doctor thinks?

when I felt movements at 7 and a half weeks I was worried because i thought it might be ectopic pregnancy...to know its twins is such a joy.
this is my 4th pregnancy so early movement i guess is expected, then I found out that 7 weeks is when baby starts to make movement in the womb...amazing isnt it!

I am at 11 weeks now, and sometimes I think that I feel movement with mine, but then I have a little gas bubble, and I have been passing it off.  There has been a couple time though that I could have sworn that I felt like what the other said about the "rolling" sensation.  I felt that at about 9wks and freaked out, but it only happened once.  I am really curious now....

I felt movement with this pregnancy (my fourth) at about 10 weeks.  i didn't even know it was twins yet but I noticed aome fluttering and a feeling like bubbles in my tummy.  Now that I'm 17 weeks I'm feeling quite a bit of movement.  Nothing is too consistent or regular right now, but there really are times of lots of kicking and moving.

hello.

i have not had a scan yet, so no twins confirmed yet, but i have been thinking i have been feeling movements and wondered if i may be having twins! i am 6-7 weeks as far as i know.
this is my 3rd pregnancy and i felt movement earlier in my 2nd pregnancy too, but not this early! he was a very active baby in pregnancy and after and we saw this at the scans! maybe this one will follow
it is so comforting to find other women wondering the same thing! i would love to find we are having twins but i guess we'll have to wait and see. i am glad to hear women who suspected twins later found out they were correct as i knew i was pregnant myself and was told i was not and received negative test early on, but now find i was all along - hopefully same might come true with the twins!!
